Promotion sells a positive image of the commercial district and encourages consumers and investors to live, work, shop, play and invest in the Main Street district. By marketing a district’s unique characteristics to residents, investors, business owners, and visitors, an effective promotional strategy forges a positive image through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events, and marketing campaigns carried out by local volunteers. These activities improve consumer and investor confidence in the district and encourage commercial activity and investment in the area.

The Promotions Committee for Brunswick Main Street is responsible for all activities that promote community and activity in the downtown area.  This committee for years has brought First Friday Night on the Town to Downtown Brunswick every first Friday, every month.   With this committee we will also see events like the Brunswick Music Fest, Brunswick Bike Festival and the Hometown Holidays.   Entertainment during the 2011 summer in the Citizen Lot was brought to you by PNC Bank. The Promotions Committee meets at 6:30pm on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Main Street office located at 13 W. Potomac St.
