:
Take US-340 W. towards Charles Town/Leesburg.  Stay on US-340 W. at the 15 S. split.  Take MD-17 S exit towards Brunswick.  At end of exit, turn left onto MD-17/Burkittsville Rd.  Turn right onto MD-17/Petersville Road.  From the traffic circle, take Maryland Ave. See Local Directions/Parking* below.

From DC/Montgomery County
:
Take I-270 N to I-70 W towards Hagerstown.  Merge onto US-340 W. towards Charles Town/Leesburg.  Stay on US-340 W. at the 15 S. split.  Take MD-17 S exit towards Brunswick.  At end of exit, turn left onto MD-17/Burkittsville Rd.  Turn right onto MD-17/Petersville Road.  From the traffic circle, take Maryland Ave.  See Local Directions/Parking* below.

From Baltimore Area
:

Take VA-7 W/Harry Byrd Hwy toward VA-9/Winchester.  Take the VA-9 ramp toward Hillsboro/Charles Town WV.  Turn right onto Charles Town Pike/VA-9.  Turn right onto Berlin Turnpike/VA-287.  Cross over the Potomac River into Brunswick.  See Local Directions/Parking* below.

At the traffic circle, take Maryland Ave.  Make a left onto West Potomac St.  Make a right onto Maple Ave.  Parking will be on your right in Railroad Square. The city center is roughly Square Corner Park on the corner of Maple Avenue and Potomac Street.

Location - Conveniently located fifty miles from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, historic Brunswick offers shopping, historical sites, museums, dining, and recreational activities.

History - The town has a rich history tied to the Potomac River, the C&O Canal, and the railroad.  Its heritage has earned the town its place on the National Register of Historic Places as an example of a late 19th and early 20th century railroad town.  The C&O Canal National Historical Park also runs through Brunswick and the C&O Canal Visitors Center operates downtown.  Visitors can also learn about Brunswick’s rich history at the Brunswick Railroad Museum.  The museum hosts Heritage Weekends and Victorian Christmas.

Shopping & Activities - As visitors stroll through the historic downtown, they can find a variety of new shops, businesses, and services.  The resurgence of interest in the historic district has brought a bookstore, coffee shop, specialty shops, several antique shops, sporting goods stores, restaurants, and more.  Parks, historic landmarks, and museums are also popular draws downtown.  A growing arts community is also emerging in Brunswick. Visitors can also enjoy performances throughout the year and musical groups during special events.

Recreational Opportunities - Because the Potomac River is only a short walk from the downtown shops, recreational opportunities abound.  With close proximity to downtown, the waterfront offers fishing, boating, camping, kayaking, and canoeing.  The C&O Canal towpath is excellent for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders.Railroad Days

Events - Brunswick celebrates its heritage through annual festivals, parades, and events.
